Thursday Nite League Rules
- Participation - Tournaments are open to all
persons 18 years and over. If under 18 you must be accompanied
by a parent or guardian.
- Membership- There is a $5.00 membership fee
which must be paid before fishing any tournament.
- Entry Fee- Entry fee for all tournaments will
be $40.00 per boat.
- Payback- Payback will be based on one spot
for every 5 entries.
- Scoring- To qualify for Year-End Classic will
be as follows: you must fish at least 12 regular Thursday Nite
Tournaments. There is a total of 16 tournaments. The 4 lowest
scored will be thrown out to determine a points champion. Scoring
is as follows: 60-1st, 59-2nd, 58- 3rd, etc. Each paid boat will
receive a bonus of 10 points for showing up.
- Classic- Entry fee for Classic will be $20.00
per boat. This will include $10.00 Big Bass, $5.00 Second Big
Bass, $5.00 Junk Fish Pot.
- Substitutions- You are allowed four subs for
the season. After four subs, you will be counted as a new team.
- Limit- This is a FIVE(5)-fish-limit tournament.
Anyone bringing in more than seven fish to weigh in will have
their sack culled to the seven-fish limit starting with the big
fish first. If you are fishing alone you will be disqualified.
State law prevails.
- No Live Bait- Artificial lures only. Pork
trailers accepted.
- No Trolling or Drift Fishing- This will not
be tolerated. Anyone found to be doing this will be disqualified
for that tournament and put on probation for the remaining tournaments.
Any other infraction of any rules/regulations, you will be disqualified
for the year end classic.
- Protest- All protests must be submitted in
writing to tournament director no later than 15 minutes after
the close of weigh-in. Verbal protests will not be accepted.
All decisions by officials are final.
- Penalties- All fish brought to weigh-in must
measure 14 inches in length. Any short fish will be culled along
with big fish in sack. Courtesy bump will be given by weigh master.
A courtesy board will be available
- Dead Fish- There will be a deduction of four
ounces(or quarter pound) for each dead fish.
- Late- You will be given a 5-minute grace period.
After that, it is 1lb. for 1 minute. Total of 10 minutes late
is an automatic disqualification.
- Tournament Hours- All tournaments will start
at 5:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m.
- Registration- There will be registration at
tournament site starting at 4:30 p.m. Registration closes at
5:25 p.m. Anyone showing up after 5:25 will pay $5.00 late fee
and last boat out. (New members are excluded from late fee.)
No entries after 6 p.m.
- Take-Off- All starts will be a 60-second ooze
off after official time by director has been issued.
- Boat Inspection- All live wells will be checked
by a tournament official. All boats will be equipped with a live-well
system able to sustain a limit of fish , and in working condition.
- Safety- During all tournaments, contestants
will wear their life jackets zipped and secured when a combustion
engine is in operation. During foul weather, you may take the
closest shelter. During any emergency, you must return to tournament
site if possible.
- Sportsmanship- All contestants are required
to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation.
Drunkenness shall be cause for immediate disqualification. No
illegal drugs shall be allowed in the boats during the tournament
hours extending through the close of weigh-in.
- Off-Limits- You may not fish closer that 50
yards to another competitor unless given permission. If permission
if given to one, then all may fish in the same water.
- You May Not Leave Your Boat During Tournament Hours
Except During an Emergency- Partners must stay in
sight of each other during tournament hours. If both partners
must leave the boat for non-emergency reasons, you must notify
the Tournament Director before doing so.
- Classic Tournament- The Classic Tournament
lake will be off limits one week prior to the Classic Tournament
- All State rules and regulations must be followed.
- Insurance- Liability insurance is required
of all contestants utilizing a boat in Lake Drive Marine's 2006
Bass Tour.
- All rules and regulations are subject to review by
officials.
- Tournament directors have the right to deny anyone's
entry from any or all tournaments.
